Dear Family & Friends,

As a little girl, I always dreamed of owning my own flower shop. Seven years ago, that dream came true when my dear friend and longtime family florist, Ramona McCrovitz, entrusted me to carry on her beautiful vision at the Merrillville Florist & Tea Room.

From the very beginning, you welcomed us into your lives and allowed us to be part of your most meaningful moments. We’ve had the honor of sharing in countless weddings, proposals, bridal and baby showers, anniversaries, birthdays, proms, graduations, and holidays, as well as offering comfort during times of loss.

So many memories will stay with us forever, especially during the holiday season, when the Tea Room transforms into a real-life Hallmark movie, an experience that so many of you made part of your family traditions year after year, and the pure magic of our Princess Tea Parties, which brought so much joy and laughter.

Being part of these moments with you has meant more to us than words can truly express.

We walked through the challenges of COVID together, and it was your unwavering support that carried us through. For that, we will be forever grateful.

This little flower shop and tea room has always been more than a business. It’s been a place of connection, comfort, and community. It holds a very special place in our hearts, as it does for our dedicated team who have helped bring it to life each and every day.

It is with a full and grateful heart that I share our family made the decision last week to transition to new ownership. While this decision was not easy, it comes with excitement for a new chapter that allows us to spend more time with family. Especially our sons, who have recently relocated to New York and California.

For now, it is business as usual. All scheduled events and services will continue as planned. I, along with Benny and Margot, will remain present during the transition, working closely with the new owners and our team to ensure a thoughtful and seamless handoff of this very special place.

With a lifetime of gratitude to our team, friends, family, customers, and guests, thank you for making my dream come true and for making these past seven years so unforgettable.
